What Makes Chestny ZNAK DataMatrix Unique?
Standard GS1 DataMatrix codes typically contain product identifiers (GTIN), serial numbers, expiration dates, and batch numbers. Chestny ZNAK codes append a cryptographic signature segment—consisting of a Crypto Key and a Crypto Verification Code—designed to guarantee authenticity.
This cryptographic payload introduces significant technical hurdles on the factory floor:
- Extreme Code Density: Due to the cryptographic payload, the code must store nearly twice the data of a standard matrix. This shrinks module sizes, making the code much denser.
- Print Quality Constraints: Smaller modules mean that slight ink smudges or surface deformities render the code unreadable. Continuous grading using ISO/IEC 15415-compliant 1d-2d code verification is crucial.
